The DC Dental Task Force for People with Intellectual and Other Developmental Disabilities is a group of individuals from DDA, DOH, the Department of Healthcare Finance, the DCHRP and local oral health providers working together to ensure that appropriate oral health care is provided for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in the District of Columbia. 

The Task Force:

• provides training and technical assistance
  
  
• works to improve the capacity of oral health services for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities
  
  
• fosters relationships between local dentists and community hospitals
  
  
• provides training and education programs for direct care staff and individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities  
  
  
• has identified a network of providers who accept DC Medicaid and have the capacity to serve individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.
